Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Scope
This policy applies to all travel bookings — including domestic and international air tickets, hotel reservations, car rentals, rail tickets, visa assistance fees, and ancillary services — made through Journey Xpress by corporate clients and their authorised travellers.
2. Cancellation by the Client / Traveller
2.1 How to Cancel
- Log in to the Journey Xpress platform and initiate the cancellation from "My Bookings", OR

- Cancellation requests must be submitted before departure / check-in. Post-departure/no-show cancellations are generally not refundable.
2.2 Air Tickets — Cancellation Fees

* Exact airline penalties vary by fare class, airline, and route. The applicable amount will be shown at the time of cancellation. Non-refundable fares (e.g., "Lite", "Saver") may attract 100% forfeiture of the base fare regardless of notice period.
2.3 Hotels — Cancellation Fees
- Free cancellation bookings: Cancel before the free cancellation deadline (shown on the booking confirmation) — full refund of hotel charges.
- Non-refundable / Special Rate bookings: 100% hotel charges forfeited upon cancellation at any time.
- Late cancellation (within free cancellation window): Penalty as specified on the booking confirmation (typically 1 night's charge).
- No-show: Full amount forfeited unless the hotel grants a waiver (at the hotel's discretion).
- Journey Xpress service fee for hotel cancellation: ₹150–₹250 per booking.
2.4 Car Rentals & Ground Transport
- Cancellations more than 4 hours before scheduled pickup: Full refund of car rental charges.
- Cancellations within 4 hours or no-show: One-way fare or minimum charge may be applicable per the supplier.
2.5 Rail Tickets (IRCTC / Others)
- Governed by IRCTC / Railways cancellation rules; refund (if any) will be processed to the original payment source.
- Journey Xpress service fee: ₹50–₹100 per ticket.
2.6 Visa & Documentation Services
- Visa application fees paid to the embassy/consulate are non-refundable regardless of the outcome (approval, rejection, or cancellation).
- Journey Xpress processing/service fee for visa facilitation is non-refundable once documentation processing has commenced.
2.7 Meetings, Events & Group Travel
- Governed by the specific event contract / group booking agreement signed at the time of booking.
- Deposits for venue bookings and event management are generally non-refundable if cancelled within 30 days of the event.
3. Cancellation by Travel Supplier
In the event of cancellation, rescheduling, or significant change initiated by the Travel Supplier (e.g., airline schedule change, hotel overbooking):
- We will proactively notify the client and work to secure an alternative booking at no additional service fee.
- Where no alternative is acceptable, the full amount paid to the supplier will be refunded. Journey Xpress's service fee will be waived in such cases.
4. Amendments / Date Changes
- Date/route/name changes are subject to the airline's or supplier's change fee plus any applicable fare difference.
- Journey Xpress charges an amendment service fee of ₹150–₹500 per booking segment, depending on the type and complexity of change.
- Some non-changeable (locked) fares cannot be amended; in such cases, a fresh booking may be required.
5. Refund Processing

- Refunds are always credited back to the original payment source. We do not refund to a different account.
- Airline refunds may take up to 45–90 calendar days in some cases, depending on the airline's processing timeline. We will communicate expected timelines at the time of cancellation.
- International airline refunds may be in the ticket currency and converted to INR at the prevailing exchange rate at time of refund.
6. Failed / Duplicate Transactions
- If a payment is deducted but a booking confirmation is not received, please contact us within 24 hours at support@journeyxpress.com.
- After verification, failed transaction refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days.
- Duplicate payment refunds will be processed within 3–5 business days after confirmation.
7. GST on Refunds
GST paid on service fees is generally not refundable, as per applicable GST rules. GST paid on airline/hotel amounts may be reversed to the extent permitted by the supplier's refund and the applicable GST regulations.
8. Dispute Resolution
If you disagree with a refund decision, please e-mail info@journeyxpress.com with your booking reference, cancellation details, and the reason for the dispute. We will investigate and respond within 10 business days.
Unresolved disputes are subject to arbitration as described in our Terms & Conditions.
